There are hundreds of colleges in this nation.  They are all advertising to get more and more students to come and apply.  Yet, most colleges only accept a fraction of the people that applied.  It can be a daunting task for juniors and seniors in high school to make.  There is a lot of things to take into consideration: majors, extracurricular activities, distance from home, size of the school, and in cases such as BYU religious affiliations as well.  However, the biggest factor is cost.  Even if you get into a college, there is still a cost factor that can be a major deterrent in what colleges students pick.  Taking all of this into consideration makes the college search process long.
