The Central Student Government examined the Ann Arbor school’s student sexual misconduct policy and released its task force’s findings Sunday.
It says Michigan routinely failed to meet deadlines to conduct investigations and that football coach Brady Hoke likely lied about Gibbons when asked why the kicker wasn’t with the team for a December bowl game. Gibbons hasn’t been charged.
In a statement, university spokesman Rick Fitzgerald says the school hopes “the CSG’s focus on these issues will lead to a greater awareness of the student sexual misconduct policy and even more survivors coming forward.”
